This year, the Nordoff Robbins Polska Foundation celebrates the 10th anniversary of conducting music therapy sessions and holding community music events. For a decade, it has been active in the field of accessible culture for diverse social groups. The Foundation’s team does not divide participants into performers and audience members, but instead plays together with those taking part in its events. Regardless of age or musical and life experience, everyone is invited to join the community ensemble.

The programme includes an interactive concert by the Siły Specjalne ensemble*, learning songs in the Polish Sign Language, dancing in the Old Market Square, and a celebration demonstrating the idea of the Foundation’s music therapy projects.

* Siły Specjalne is a music therapy group created within the Foundation. Composed of professional musicians and members at the start of their career, including persons with disabilities and in a crisis of homelessness. The group’s activities rely the belief that anyone can make music, regardless of their social status, level of ability, or musical experience. By inviting the audience to play music together, the group seeks to foster a sense of community and social inclusion of everyone. As the group often puts it: “Siły Specjalne is We and You!”.

The concert will take place in Poznań’s Old Market Square, Quadro Street, at the entrance to the Arsenał City Gallery. The Gallery’s toilet is adapted for people with mobility impairments. A changing room equipped with a large changing table is also available on the first floor of the Gallery.
