The meetings cater to children and young people from Polish, Belarusian, Russian, and Ukrainian families, aged 10 to 13. The creative work will be sparked off by stories well known to all children: fairy tales and legends. During the workshop, children will prepare their own artistic interpretation of a selected story, in any form: visual, theatrical or mixed. As a result, the children will see that a story they are familiar with can be retold in a novel way. This will not only be a creativity exercise, but also a task involving negotiation and a search for appropriate forms of communication. All this will allow them to get to know another culture better, in a creative and friendly atmosphere.
The series comprises 10 meetings: 9 days of workshops and a picnic meeting with families as the crowning event.
Classes will be held in Polish, but if necessary we will also provide interpretation into Ukrainian and Russian.
Most of the activities will take place outdoors, in the garden of the Do_Wolności Zone.
