In connection with the Mineral Immersions exhibition, we invite you to a meeting devoted to meteorites. Szymon Adamczak will talk about what meteorites are and how they find their way from space to earth, as well as how to look for them. We will also learn what types and groups of meteorites there are and how to distinguish them from earthly stones. Szymon Adamczak will also present specimens from his own collection.

Szymon Adamczak - interested in astronomy since childhood, he acquired his first specimen, the Campo del Cielo iron meteorite from Argentina, in 2012. Since then, he has been adding to his collection whenever possible and has expanded his knowledge of the universe by attending numerous mineral fairs and conferences. On a daily basis, he works at the Arsenał Municipal Gallery Poznań, where he handles the cosmos of technical and administrative matters.
