The target audience of the workshop is all those who would like to take part in the process of collective self-empowerment by creatively transforming their fears, stress, complexes, and hopes. The tangible result of the workshop will be a "thick-skinned person" built from the longings of all the participants. However, what may turn out to be more important is the very discovery of lost aspirations and taking the first step towards their fulfilment, i.e. overcoming constricting fear. The workshop accompanies the exhibition "Rejected Proposals". You can join it at any time between 3 pm and 6 pm and stay for a shorter or a longer time.

Haft artistic collective works under the auspices of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. We are currently working on a multimedia performance titled Thick Skin and moreover host a programme called Embroidered on Radio Capital. In each episode, we promote female artists before their debuts, colleagues who are neither famous nor rich yet. The Collective's mission is to meet and support young female artists at the beginning of their artistic paths, at the point we ourselves are. We know very well how difficult the first steps in the world of art are and how strong the emotions and what enormous fear are evoked by the prospect of a debut. This fear concerns not only the artistic level; we are afraid of beginnings in general (new school, job, relationship). Our basic human fears are the fear of the unknown, of failure, rejection, and criticism. We want to look these fears in the eye and harness them.
