The project „Something in common?” pertains to the relation between Polish and Korean performance art in the socio-political context.
The main aim of this project is to, despite the geographical and cultural distance, widen the knowledge about eventual similarities between two democtacies – Poland and Korea. Performative actions in visual arts, which in both countires appeared in the second half of 60s XX cent., precede the introduction of the democratic system in the late 80s.
The event is a unique opportunity not only to familiarize with the tendences in contemporary Korean art, but also to meet the artists significat to Korean performance art.
Neung Kyung Sung is one of the pioneers of Korean performance art and installation.
Jae Seon Moon combines theatrical experiences with performative language based on the carnality; since 2008 he is also a Creative Director and Curator of the Performance Art Network Asia festival in Seul.
Jin Sup Yoon is an artist, lecturer and curator, who chaired the Korean International Association of Art Critics in 2014.
Ah-Young Lee is an art historian and curator; her field of work focuses i.a. on the project „Performance Art in Asia” focused of archiving performance art.
