During the debate, we will examine the family from the perspectives of art and psychotherapy, beginning with a reflection on what “family” means today. What ideas and images do we have of it? What kinds of families do we wish to be a part of? We will subsequently consider how the concept of family is transformed through the presence of queer people. Which aspects of our thinking about family become more flexible and which ones are more rigid? Can we speak of different types of families or distinct strategies of family life? If so, how can these diverse families exchange experiences, what can they offer to and learn from one another?

In conclusion, we will address themes related to leaving one’s own nest, seeking to capture the moment when we have already crossed the threshold. What was once a taboo subject at home and what can now be freely spoken of? Or, can it really?
