A workshop from the series Biodiversity in a liveable city – Newcomers.
The American bolete has been present in Poland for several years; at first it could only be found near the seashore (the mushroom thrives in sandy areas), but thanks to the mushroom pickers (spreading its spores) who travel around Poland, it is gradually moving inland year by year. A new inhabitant of Polish forests, which in a very short time has gained incredible popularity among mushroom pickers. The workshops will take place in one of the municipal forests and will take the form of traditional mushroom picking - we will try to find the American bolete together, pass on the available knowledge about it and show why mushrooms are so inspiring for contemporary humanities.
