What do I want to invite into my life? Who or what do I wish to remember or mourn? From whom or what do I want to draw strength?
A diorama is a type of three-dimensional picture, a world within a small box in which we put anything we choose. This might include a photograph, a feather, a leaf, a stone brought from a trip, a thread, a twig, an old stamp, a piece of a letter, a bead, a piece of glass polished by the sea, or a button. A diorama helps preserve memories; it is inherently sentimental and nostalgic. It both captures the world and creates it anew. To build our miniature world, we will use old photographs, objects, and recycled materials.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own small-scale objects, especially photographs. Materials will also be available on site. The main theme of the session is the concept of INTENTION seen as a guiding purpose, the planting of a seed, or the formation of an idea.
