Join us for a workshop of creating natural glycerine soaps of various shapes and sizes.
During the workshop, each participant will make 3 to 5 soap bars in different shapes, which they will take with them in a decorative package as a keepsake of the meeting.
We will start with a short lecture on the herbaceous plants used in soap making. We will discuss the 10 most popular plants, their full uses, cultivation methods and possible application for different needs. The participants will learn about the history of soap and its unusual applications, e.g. as a medicine.
Our soaps will use a glycerine base, which is allergen-free, white and colourless. We will also use natural dried plants (such as chamomile, raspberry, lavender, calendula, lemongrass, rose and peony flowers), bee pollen, peach seeds and many others. Only natural colourings and flavourings will be used.
Our goal will be having fun when doing something creative as well as promoting knowledge on herbs and the home use of natural cosmetics. The educational element will include information about the herbaceous plant species found in the meadows of Wielkopolska and their medicinal use; we will moreover promote them for the reclamation of green areas.
