Each person participating in the workshop will create their own traditional Ukrainian doll known as Motanka. These dolls are made from natural fabrics, threads, lace, ribbons, and other decorations. Motanka dolls are deeply rooted in Ukrainian rituals and beliefs. It is said that the dolls, created with good thoughts and intentions, bring happiness, health, and harmony to the home. During the meeting, we will learn the art of making these unusual Slavic dolls and explore Ukrainian traditions and customs.
moderator: Nina Burnevich – artist, master of Ukrainian folk art known for creating Motanka dolls. Co-founder of the Artcluster Foundation, which operates in Poznań and promotes Ukrainian art.
