During the July workshops, participants will hand-weave small rattan baskets under the guidance of an experienced master basket maker. The occasion will also provide an opportunity to discuss disappearing traditional crafts and the history of basketry.

Zbigniew Polaczyk is an instructor of artistic crafts and a graduate of the Folk University in Wzdów (now the Folk University of Artistic Crafts in Wola Sękowa). He participated in field research on basketry in Poland conducted by the Serfenta Association. For many years, he has led demonstrations of disappearing traditional crafts and delivered handicraft workshops in basketry, stained glass, and glass mosaic throughout Poland.
