Why and for whom should we organize exhibitions? How to talk about art? What is allowed in the gallery? What should be the role of public institutions for local communities? And finally, what to do to feel at ease in galleries?
The above questions will be an important framework for the meetings. The exhibitions presented in the gallery will be confronted with the needs, emotions and experiences of the representatives of teenagers and the elderly, the two groups invited by us. During the workshops we will try to make the exhibition space a field of experience and free interpretation by those who avoid the space of contemporary art on a daily basis. The presented works will serve, among other things, as a pretext for a discussion on social engagement and civic responsiveness. Instead of individually experiencing, we will experience together - talk about what makes us different and what unites us. Perhaps art will become a tool for mediation in important matters, for connecting generations and for integration? Let us look for new ways of making use of art.
