In an age in which we have almost unlimited access to computers and smartphones, focusing attention sometimes borders on the miraculous. Hence, an increasing number of people want to occupy themselves with something interesting and developing. This is especially true today, when many things happening in the world have a negative impact on our psyche. Simple activities can become a great distraction from everyday life. Quilling helps to distract us from all things stressful. It also offers a chance to learn the secrets of a creative craft with a long history.

The ornaments are made from paper, or more precisely from thin strips of it. The name of this technique in English means winding on a ballpen or pen. It is easy to guess, then, that it involves rolling strips of paper into spirals and forming any shape by bending the outer layers.
