We invite young participants into the world of moving images, i.e. artworks in which elements move thanks to simple mechanisms. This workshop combines art and engineering, creativity and motion.

Young engineers will explore examples of contemporary kinetic art and moving installations, and then design and build their own artworks with elements that rotate, slide, or wave. Simple hand-powered mechanisms—a crank, pull string, spring, or rubber band—will help bring the creations to life. Each piece will become a mini installation that changes depending on the viewer’s interaction.

Every child will leave the workshop with their own interactive artwork, combining artistic expression with mechanical elements. The workshop allows participants to experience firsthand how artistic material can respond and change in reaction to the audience.

The workshops are designed for children aged 5–10, accompanied by their caregivers. Adults stay with the children throughout the session and collaborate with them on the projects.
