We would like to invite you to a discussion summarizing the cycle "Using Art" with participation: Agnieszka Wojciechowska-Sej, Sebastian Cichocki, Zofia nierodzińska, Bartek Lis, and the process participants.

The meeting will be hosted by Marta Kosińska and her curatorial team.

In recent weeks, at the Arsenał Municipal Gallery, together with the participants of the "Using Art" series, we have sought answers to questions concerning the free interpretation of contemporary art. The works and objects presented at the exhibition "Creative Sick States: AIDS, HIV, CANCER" were filtered through our own experiences. In particular, we focused on the emotions these works evoked in us. Thanks to them, we tried to build an intergenerational dialogue and find out what intrigues us. We talked about the works referring to our intuition and the senses, pushing aside the professional, exclusively verbal language of description.

We will discuss with the invited guests and the participants of the process how public art institutions should program their activities in order to open up to new, unprofessional groups. How can contemporary art become a tool for integration and generate socially important debates outside its own field? Finally, we will focus on the role of cultural education and look at the working reality of those who deal with it: educators, curators of social projects, art mediators, and cultural animators.
