REGISTRATION IS CLOSED
Parents with children are invited to a unique art workshop during which participants will work in pairs, creating one another’s portraits. It offers an excellent opportunity to engage together in the creative freedom of gesture.
Portraiture entails attentive observation of another person and a creative response to their presence, energy, and manner of being. It is also an occasion to pose questions such as: How does my child see me? How do I see my child? What more might we discover about one another?
During the workshop, participants will explore the dynamic, fluid, and highly responsive technique of ink painting, which enables the rapid creation of multiple works marked by gesture, expressiveness and authenticity.
Why participate? It is a distinctive experience that:
● deepens relationships and fosters closeness;
● develops empathy and attentiveness;
● strengthens non-verbal communication;
● allows one to see oneself through the eyes of a close other;
● offers the joy of creating without pressure or judgement;
● enables the sharing of meaningful time together beyond everyday roles.
For children, it provides an opportunity for spontaneous and natural self-expression. For adults, it offers the possibility of entering into a creative relationship with the child beyond daily duties and roles.
